Our objective
Our objective is to help Indigenous businesses gain access to sustainable and significant work, increasing Indigenous employment and labour participation in Government and Corporate contracts and helping to relieve systemic Indigenous economic disadvantage.
What we do
One of our focuses is to mentor Micro, Small and Indigenous (MSI) businesses to enhance Indigenous socio-economic benefits. From our strong subcontractor base, we build highly qualified teams as part of our Restoring Country initiatives, enabling MSI businesses to undertake land remediation projects for traditional landowners, large corporations and Government.
ServeGate provides mentoring, advice and assistance to subcontractors who are mostly – but not exclusively – Indigenous businesses. Our primary focus is developing, implementing and refining business plans. When we have capacity and resources available, ServeGate also provides selected assistance to non-Indigenous member subcontractors.
Achievements
ServeGate has assisted, and continues to assist, Indigenous member subcontractors across a wide range of small business issues – through corporate legal and taxation difficulties, with governance issues, meeting financial management requirements, with problems developing operational capabilities, and with supplier, customer and regulator relationships.
